We believe that a journey is primarily an experience made up of many pieces. On your arrival we will give you a book in which we have collected information, addresses, contacts, maps and presentations of activities in the area, so that you can get an initial idea of the possibilities. We are then in the office every day to organise visits, advise you and give you all the information you need to get to know our beautiful area better.

Terme di Sassetta only 400 mt from us, the first zero kilometre spa in Tuscany. Spa with thermal spring water at 38°, pools in local stone, whirlpools, sauna, Turkish bath, holistic treatments with biodynamic products from the farm such as honey and yoghurt.
Immersed in nature, with a beautiful garden and solarium, from the pools you can enjoy incomparable views of the valley. (Children over 5 years old admitted).
Calidario thermal lake: water 34-35 degrees, the outdoor part is very large and ideal for families, children can play and swimming is possible thanks to the large pool. There is also a spa with calidarium tepidarium and frigidarium where children are not allowed.
Thalassotherapy at Tombolo: pools with heated sea water, wellness centre. Children admitted at fixed times.
Trekking in nature
Around Pian delle More it is possible to hike through the woods on marked trails along dirt roads that wind for more than 35 km through the Poggio Neri park, or follow the botanical poetry trail designed for us by Tiziano Fratus, the poet and seeker of ancient trees. (www.homoradix.it).
We provide our guests with a map of the park showing the paths and level of difficulty, as well as maps and trekking guides for the whole area. The Sassetta trails are connected to the hiking trails of Suvereto, Castagneto Carducci, Bolgheri and San Vincenzo, covering more than 80 km.
There are also beautiful coastal paths that allow you to walk through woods and pine forests along the sea.
The sea is only 20 minutes away
Sea lovers should note that all the beaches in the area have been awarded the blue flag for years and are among the most beautiful on the Tyrrhenian coast.
About twenty minutes from Pian delle More it is possible to reach the famous fine sandy beaches of Baratti, Rimigliano, La Sterpaia, Torre Mozza, which are part of the Val di Cornia Park District, and those of Marina di Castagneto and Bibbona.
They are natural systems with Mediterranean scrub and pine forests that slope down to the sea. All the free beaches on the coast have a cleaning and surveillance service.
For those who love comfort we can indicate the best equipped beaches in the area. For all guests we provide a beach umbrella on request.
Tuscan villages and food and wine
Bolgheri and its cypress avenue praised by Carducci, the medieval villages of Suvereto, Castagneto Carducci, Campiglia Marittima, Populonia, Monteverdi and less than 40 minutes away is the magical Volterra and the village of Massa Marittima with its famous central square.
To explore the area's wealth of food and wine, we can recommend restaurants offering typical Tuscan cuisine with recipes based on fish or game, wine-tasting tours of prestigious wine cellars and shops and farms where you can buy quality local products.
It is also possible to visit the cellars and local producers accompanied by a guide in the car, so that you can taste the wines in complete tranquillity, without worrying about the alcohol level and learn anecdotes and curiosities.
Activities for kids
To the delight of children, Pian delle More guests can enjoy discounts on admission to some of the area's main play parks: Il Cavallino Matto in Marina di Castagneto, the Giardino Sospeso adventure park in Riparbella, Acqua Village in Cecina and Follonica, the Gallorose Park in Cecina and the Livorno Aquarium.
Horseback riding and mountain bike excursions
For horse-riding enthusiasts, we recommend the Sant'Agnese farm (8 km from us).
English and American riding lessons and beautiful walks in the surrounding woods with experienced guides.
For those who prefer bicycles, it is possible to rent them at a specialised centre (medium and high-end bikes) and go on excursions of varying degrees of difficulty along beautiful, little-used roads that are very popular with cycling enthusiasts.
Pian delle More is a bike friendly hotel, guests will have detailed maps and information at their disposal to discover unusual and little known itineraries.
